"When you photograph people in color you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in black and white, you photograph their souls!" ~Ted Grant

Here are a few peeks at Korenne's maternity session I did today. Maternity sessions can be hard for the mom to be. I remember being 8/9 months pregnant and feeling like I was as big as the side of a house... and the last thing I would have wanted to do was to show my naked belly and then take pictures of it!! But now, I wish I had. I think expectant mothers round bellies are one of the most beautiful times in their lives, they are all beautiful- because there is a miracle wrapped up inside and it's a fleeting moment, it won't last forever. And you will never be as close to that child as you are at that moment when they are tucked away safe in the very center of your being. I hope you enjoy this peek at Korenne and Nick's miracle. There will surely be newborn pics to follow- just as soon as he arrives!
I had an engagement session this evening, and first my camera wouldn't come on ( had just charged the battery)... got that fixed, then after they got here I spent 30 minutes or so getting my flash sync cord/hotshoe to work (must get wireless SOON!)... then after going outside we had to battle the heat (we were in deed melting) and even a few chiggers, ticks and other noises in the tall grass!!! All that in just one two hour session!! But I think we got some good shots and that my friends is all that matters! So here is a peek for Leann and Clinton... thanks for being such troopers!!!

Well, I was getting tired of the same old thing so I decided to change things up a bit! There is not only a new background here on the Wright Shot blog, but also 9 new songs for your listening pleasure! I know there are some (me included) that will turn the blog on and use it as a radio... so I mixed up the variety for those that do. And if you are strictly a blog follower and not so much a visitor of my photog website, go ahead and take a peek, cause I changed things there also... It's not totally overhauled... but hey, I've already been up all night as it is!! LOL (notice it almost 5 am as I write this blog post!) So- that's all I have for now... oh, and all sessions are currently up and loaded... none are waiting in the wings for me to scramble to get proofing done- well not until tomorrow anyway :) So check those out also!
Have a great weekend!!

It's bitter sweet when your best friend or your sister gets married. You are happy for them and wish them nothing but happiness. But sometimes, when it is someone you are really close to, it's almost sad as you have a small fear somewhere down deep that you are losing them. It's selfish I know, but both times I stood up with my best friends as their Maid of Honor and gave them over to their new 'best friend' I felt a twinge of sadness. And I cannot imagine what that feeling must feel like when it is your daughter or your son that you give away. It makes me tear up to think of it... of the bitter sweetness of letting go. I know that Bridget and Jay are one. They have been for a while now, before the formality of this ceremony- they complete each other, compliment each other, and sometimes drive each other crazy... and so I know it is right and true. I am so happy that she has found that in her life- not everyone does, few are so lucky to have two best friends and be married to one of them! So congratulations you two! I wish you a lifetime of staying power and love as life comes at you full speed- it's not always happy, not always easy, and not always loving- but in the end it's always worth it!!
Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day, along with Hailey and Hayden. It was an honor to stand beside you as you pledged your life to your new best friend!! :)
Love,
Teresa
